SFGuessr is a free game where you guess the year and location of historic San Francisco photos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Gameplay Data: We collect game scores, year guesses, and location guesses to enable gameplay features like leaderboards and score tracking.
Nicknames: When you play a challenge game, you provide a nickname that appears on the challenge leaderboard. This is the only user-provided identifier we store.

We do not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Account credentials or passwords
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Your real-world location
- Cookies for tracking purposes
How We Use Your Information

We use Apple Maps to display the map interface. Apple's use of data is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not share your gameplay data with any third parties.
Data Retention
Game scores and challenge results are retained indefinitely to maintain leaderboard functionality. Since we don't collect personal identifiers, this data cannot be linked to your real identity.
Children's Privacy
SFGuessr does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to be safe for all ages as it does not require accounts or collect personal data.
